Spiderbite- RiverClan WarriorThere was nothing but joy in Spiderbite’s life right now. He received his first apprentice – not just any apprentice, Antpaw, a really awesome cat. The two were rather eager and caused a rather overjoyed scene when he bounded up and practically tackled his apprentice- but the two seemed to get along well. He was so happy that Magpiestar allowed him to have an apprentice. He felt like he was really seen as a warrior now- and he felt more confident because of it. Antpaw seemed like a swell match and he constantly bounced back and forth telling his fellow warriors that he now had an apprentice! Some gave him amused smiles, some gave him irritated glances, but none the less, he was happy. How could he not be?!
There was a pleased smile on his face as he bounced in place- his paws barely touching the ground for longer than a second. His tail swiped over the ground as he spun. The winds were down and the sun was just rising. He knew Antpaw was coming and he was going to do everything he could to make sure he was the best mentor. He talked to other mentors about it- he could now consider himself one of them! He squealed a little, stretching and then walking in place, just trying to keep his antsy paws steady but he couldn’t with his childish glee.
His green eyes looked out towards the path out of camp, then back to the apprentice den, his whiskers trembling with excitement. He knew he had a responsibility now- he knew he had a responsibility to this one cat. RiverClan was his home and he felt like he was now more respected than he ever was. He wanted to crow happily to Honeyrose- but he didn’t think it was fair to her since she herself was unavailable so far. His lips were shut around her, rather asking her about her day and how she felt. Part of him was clearly coherent to understand this, so he was careful about it.
When he saw the familiar pelt out of the corner of his eye, he leaped up once more- all four paws leaving the ground. An excited cry of, “Antpaw!” left his muzzle as he grinned brightly to the cat, his tail waving excitedly as he landed. “We must explore, we must adventure!” Spiderbite sang heartily. He gestured with his tail towards the path, his claws digging into the soft dirt as he leaped into action, jumping on the path before turning around and trying to keep his childish actions to a minimum- but he couldn’t exactly help it. “What does it feel like for you to be an apprentice, now?” He asked eagerly, wanting to bring the young cat beside him into a conversation.
